Microsoft Anounces Vulnerability Sharing Print E-mail

Microsoft anouced it will start sharing details about software vulnerabilities with security vendors ahead of Patch Tuesday. The risky new program aimed at reducing the window of exposure to hacker attacks starts October 2008.

Gtron Solutions uses a unique grading system to determine the security threat level that we call, "Watching the Watchers" (WTW). We monitor the top security watchers on the Internet and determine an overall grade. We decided to develop this system because one site might have a 'Normal' rating but another might have 'Elevated'. This grading system is simple - we assign a number to each level and the total is the grade assigned.
