Sun Ray Server Software has been discovered to be vulnerable. Successful exploitation would allow a malicious user to compromise a system. Sun Ray Server Software administration privileges are required to take advantage of this hole in security.

If taken advantage of, a hacker would be able to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. The problem lies in an unspecified error that occurs while the Kiosk mode is running.

Version 4.0 is affected. The best known solution is to apply patches.
